Culture and Literacy Day in Bulgaria

Culture and Literacy Day is celebrated every year on May 24 in Bulgaria. The day was established to commemorate the anniversary of the Bulgarian writer Ivan Vazov’s death, who wrote about social issues such as illiteracy and poverty in his works. Today, culture and literacy are considered key indicators for human development because they enable people to understand their cultures, build bridges between different communities, and participate fully in society. Literacy is a fundamental right that allows people access to knowledge so they can make informed decisions both at home and work.

When I went on my trip to Bulgaria, I was able to learn a lot about the culture and the way that the Bulgarian people go about celebrating their culture and literacy day. I was able to visit different sites and learn about the history of the country. I also participated in various cultural activities that were organized in order to promote literacy and education. I think that it was a great experience and I learned a lot about the Bulgarian people.

On culture and literacy day, the Bulgarian people take the time to go out and enjoy themselves. They visit different places and spend time enjoying the arts and culture.
